During these months, high tides reach our steps and crash against the protective wall. It&#8217;s a captivating sight to behold. The immense tides create a strong backwash, pulling the sand away from our beach and out into the ocean. However, as the tides calm in the following months, the sand gradually returns, settling to rest for the upcoming summer season. Waves, tides, currents, and the seabed collaborate to transport sediment, sculpting the coastline. Parallel to the shoreline, sandbars form, influencing wave breaks and giving rise to various types of surf breaks. Changes in the shape and location of these sandbars can profoundly impact wave behavior.
